It's one of those weird European-made ones where the Nazis are carefully painted over, so Germany uses the WW1 imperial flag and is led by someone called Vice-Chancellor von Papen, but otherwise is quite a nice adaptation. 7 1941 no matter what else happens you can have similar but not identical historical events, to make it less predictable or you can have no events at all and things happen randomly - which is better for AH, I suppose, but it means you usually have to start WW2 yourself.
Japan will still bomb Pearl Harbour on Dec. There are three modes - you can either have historical events, e.g. Currently playing the "Roads to War" mod on Civ4: Beyond the Sword, which converts the game to either 1) Europe from 1936 onwards, 2) Europe from 1939 onwards, or 3) the Pacific from 1939 onwards.
